Uber Hero
A simple hero section that makes use of a isolated tab block to effectively communicate a variety of services in one place.
Why I like it:

The isolated tab section allows users to cycle between Uber's different offerings, as one changes tab, the hero content including the background image changes accordingly.

Separating the tab content on a solid white background makes it pop off the screen and feel closer to the user. It also enhances the readability of the content placed within it.

This is a good example of the fact that you don't have to do much to create a visually pleasing hero section so long as you adhere to solid design principles such as contrast, spacing and information hierarchy.
